What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy designed to help the brain reprocess distressing memories that may feel “stuck” in the nervous system. During EMDR, clients engage in bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones — while processing traumatic experiences in a structured and supported way.

Many individuals find EMDR helpful for reducing the emotional intensity of traumatic memories, decreasing triggers, and creating new, healthier beliefs about themselves and their experiences.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a brain-body based therapy that helps access and process trauma held deeply within the nervous system. Using specific eye positions, known as “brainspots,” therapists help clients identify areas connected to unresolved emotional experiences and nervous system activation.

Brainspotting is often experienced as a gentler, more intuitive processing approach that allows the brain and body to process experiences at a deeper level without requiring clients to verbally recount every detail of a traumatic event.

Brainspotting Can Help With:

Trauma

Emotional overwhelm

Chronic stress

Performance blocks
